The format
What a real Salon is
The Salon started because the marketing meetup had become loud, performed, and tiring. Six things make a Salon a Salon.
- Fifteen people, always. A circle where a conversational voice carries across the room. Scarcity protects intimacy.
- No stage, no slides. Nobody presents. Nobody performs. We sit in a circle and talk.
- The problems in the room are the agenda. Everyone writes one burning problem on a card. We cluster them, vote on three, and solve them together.
- What is said here stays here. Nobody sells, nobody recruits, nobody quotes you on LinkedIn afterwards.
- Patrons, not promoters. A patron covers the bar and gets a thank-you and a seat in the circle. Never a slot, never a banner.
- It costs what it costs. Fifteen euros a seat. The night breaks even.
If you walk out saying "that was the first time I said that out loud," it worked.

Amsterdam
The Amsterdam SEO Meetup ran from 2024, bigger every time, and by the end it cost more energy than it gave back. In January 2026 it became the Salon. The first edition sold out in days.
How a night runs

- A drink, some food, no name badges.

- Safe space. Nobody sells, nobody recruits.

- Everyone writes one burning problem on a card.
- The vote
- The room clusters the cards and picks three.
- The solve
- Twenty minutes per problem. Whoever has felt it goes first. A short synthesis at the end.
- The mingle
- Until the bar closes the tab.
